Description
Untitled presents the female as subject seeming to be in a state of consciousness while being submerged and surrounded by a group of fish swimming around. The power of the gaze suggests the subject is challenging the viewer to engage with her, and to contemplate that the relationship between water and life — where water it can both sustain life or take it away. This work was featured in the solo exhibition, Missing Thread: The Story of Ngoie, held in Atlanta, Georgia by Elliston Fine Art.
