Description
Power of Unity is another work done in the style of abstract expressionism. Hodari seemed to have applied paint thickly to the canvas in a variety of ways, using brushes, palette knives and perhaps even pouring or dripping paint. This creates a sense of texture and movement across the surface of the work. The color palette consists of black, white, and shades of brown. The use of black and white creates high contrast, which adds drama and energy to the composition. The painting appears to be roughly symmetrical, with black shapes flanking a central area of white.
