The gallery is settling into our new home at 960 Martin Luther King Jr Drive in Atlanta’s Historic West Side, and our inclusion in the Georgia Main Street initiative further solidifies our commitment to this vibrant community and its rich cultural heritage. This move represents a significant expansion in Elliston Fine Art’s mission to showcase contemporary art that celebrates the African diaspora, placing us in the heart of a neighborhood that resonates deeply with Black culture and history, near the historic Atlanta University Center. We invite you to visit our gallery and experience the unique energy of this dynamic space.

February was a particularly exciting month, highlighted by the solo exhibition “When the Wind Blows” by Willy Karekezi. This exhibition marked Willy’s return to Atlanta after his U.S. debut in 2024, and it offered a compelling look into the evolution of his artistic practice. “When the Wind Blows” showcased Willy’s innovative exploration of new techniques and mediums, revealing a fresh dimension to his already powerful artistic voice. The exhibition was a testament to his ability to push boundaries and create truly groundbreaking work.
The artist talk held on Saturday, February 1st, provided a unique opportunity for collectors and art enthusiasts to engage directly with Willy and gain deeper insights into his creative process. The event was a resounding success, fostering a lively dialogue and enriching the experience of the exhibition. For those who were unable to attend, we are pleased to announce that a selection of unsold works – both originals and prints — from “When the Wind Blows” are still available for acquisition for a limited time. Don’t sleep on the opportunity to add a piece of Willy’s exceptional work to your collection.
We decided to adjust our March programming, and we are beginning work on a solo exhibition by the artist Erikan Ekefrey — part of a collaboration with Gallery Miriam. He will be featured in a solo exhibition that kicks off in June. Looking ahead, there are additional opportunities to discover new works from artists who will be displaying their works in the gallery for you to enjoy and acquire. And, yes, there is even more exciting stuff to come starting this Spring – just watch this space!
