Distant Relatives II is the companion work of Distant Relatives. Created with a similar palette, we see the artist employing similar motifs to create a connection between both works. The subjects appearing in a silhouetted profile are illuminated by the golden sun in the background. It is difficult to determine where the outline of one figure begins and where that of the other one ends, not unlike the spiritual connections between generations that often span time and space. This work was featured in the solo exhibition, Missing Thread: The Story of Ngoie, held in Atlanta, Georgia by Elliston Fine Art.
